Meet the Rising Star in Hollywood - Shilajit [UPDATED Jan. 2024]

Shilajit has been around for thousands of years. Used by the Vedics of ancient India, it has roots as being a truly strengthening natural medicine.

Today, shilajit is starting to take traction in mainstream culture, not just in Ayurvedic medicine. Some of Hollywood’s biggest names are even using shilajit in their routines.

The Simpsons Matt Groening and his wife Augustina Picasso are users of shilajit. When Augustina was pregnant with their twin girls, she took shilajit every day. When the girls were born, the doctors were very impressed with how strong they were.

Another one of these Hollywood elites using shilajit is Gwenyth Paltrow, aka Goop. Known for her more natural approach to food and cosmetics, Paltrow has included shilajit into her life via her morning smoothies.

Other celebrities claiming shilajit’s benefits include Big Little Lies Shailene Woodley and Zoë Kravitz, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’s Rooney Mara, The Notebook’s Rachel McAdams.

These famous women consume shilajit via the oddly named “Moon Dust”. Moon Dust comes in six different varieties: sex, action, beauty, brain, goodnight, and spirit - presumably to enhance those particular aspects of your life.

Moon Dust was created by the company Moon Juice, more specifically its creator, Amanda Chantal Bacon. Moon Juice specializes in alternative plant-based medicines and supplements that has been trending recently because it has become a favourite of the Hollywood set. Working with an herbalist trained in traditional Eastern medicine, Bacon created these powders with ingredients such as cordyceps, zizyphus, and shilajit. She believes they will “work synergistically at the deepest levels to heal and enhance” the body, mind, and soul.

You don’t have to be a celebrity to enjoy the effects of Shilajit. Coffee shops and restaurants are starting to add it on their menus. Cafe Gratitude in Los Angeles has added the Immortal Ayurvedic Latte which has shilajit as a major ingredient. LifeFood Organic in Hollywood and Santa Monica is adding shilajit to their immune boosting hot chocolate.

Shilajit is trending for good reason. It works. We here at True AEON make a purified version of the active ingredients of shilajit – fulvic and humic acid – in an easy to take drinkable form. Check our AEON here
